Another significant development this year was the creation of a common framework for collecting statistics and data in our ILCs, with 17 different tools and measures for ILCs to pick and choose from. Everything from measuring usage of ILC facilities and resources, to satisfaction surveys and focus groups
Another notable accomplishment was ILC Best Practices, where ILCs submitted successful ideas and offered on-going support for implementation to other ILCs. This year we had an amazing 57 best practice ideas recommended, everything from advice on starting a Korean fan club to offering workshops to the local community.
Finally, iPads in ILCs investigated the potential role of iPads ILCs and how they could best be depolyed, which resulted in a findings and recommendations document allowing other ILCs to benefit from the research undertaken by the group.
The success of these projects wouldn't have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the following project team leaders and team members: Darcy Harris, Brenda Boyle, Janice Coats, Anna Bailey, Sule Berilgen-Duzgun, Alan Pollock, Swapneela Koul, Maryann Casas and Daniel Carroll.

ILC Best Practices |
Robert |
Alan Matt |
1. To enable ILC coordinators in all campuses to become more aware of the range and nature of successful LC innovations, strategies and activities by documenting ILC best practices and sharable tips. Best Practices could include brochures, poster templates, marketing and teaching activities and materials as well as the way specific Apps and other software or other materials are used or other ILC activities. 2. To establish a mentoring program which will allow these best practices and tips to be shared and implemented throughout the ILCs. |
1. Create and make available an online form which would enable coordinators to submit details about best practices and tips and which would also enable them to volunteer to mentor this activity. |
December 18 2013 - January 5 2014 |
2. Collect the Best Practice innovations from the online form and send them to Peter Waters to be put on the ILC website. |
February 2-6 2014 |
||||
3. Use the information collected from this form to set up a mentoring program of Best Practices and tips from each college. |
March 2-6 2014 |
||||
4. Promote and facilitate the mentoring program. |
